Programat: Ceramic materials are now even easier to fire, press, sinter and crystallize than before

Ivoclar Vivadent is extending the capabilities of its Programat furnaces to include even more application possibilities and to make them even easier to operate. In addition, the company is launching a new multi-function furnace for dental practices.

The Programat brand stands for quality, reliability and efficiency and embraces ceramic, press, sinter, crystallization and glaze furnaces. This range of furnaces has now been upgraded to offer new functions, additional accessories and a new furnace for dentists.

Press furnaces: fully automatic press function
As of software version 4.0, the Programat EP 3010 and EP 5010 combination press furnaces will include a new fully automatic press function (FPF). Now all the user needs to do is to press the FPF button, place the investment ring into the press chamber and press the start key. The procedure is then completed fully automatically by the furnace. This technology considerably facilitates the press procedure and makes it even more robust and effective than before for everyday laboratory work. Pressings can be performed with a minimum of effort. The new function will be released to users that already own an EP 3010 or EP 5010 Programat furnace at a later point in time.

P710: flagship furnace with IRT2 function
The Programat P710 furnace running software version 3.0 represents the top model of the Programat range. It includes a new IRT2 function that uses touchless infrared sensor technology to track the temperature on the restoration surface during the opening of the furnace head after the firing process. The ideal time when to remove the fired object from the furnace is shown on the display. This function is also available as software update for users that already own a Programat P710.

Programat P510 now to include DSA function
Programat P510 furnaces running software version 5.0 will be supplied with the DSA function for digital shade matching already installed on them. Special image processing software automatically recognizes the tooth to be analysed and the three shade guide teeth on the picture and selects the best matching shade guide tooth. This allows a successful shade match to be achieved in a jiffy.

Programat S1 1600 with new Dosto Tray
The Programat S1 1600 sintering furnaces are now supplied with a new double-storey sintering tray, the Programat Dosto Tray. This tray makes the sintering process even more effective and efficient than before and allows the capacity of long sintering processes to be increased by up to 40 per cent. The Dosto Tray is available as accessory and requires software version 5.0. The new software version will be released to users that already own a Programat S1 1600 at a later point in time.

The all-rounder for dentists: Programat CS4
The new Programat CS4 is a multifunctional furnace for the dental practice. It is ideally suited for sintering zirconia (ZrO₂) materials such as IPS e.max ZirCAD. Fast sintering processes allow zirconia restorations to be directly manufactured in the practice in a single session. In addition, the furnace can be used as a glazing and crystallization furnace for IPS e.max CAD and IPS Empress CAD restorations. Both predefined and individual programs for third-party materials are available (open system).
