Richard Laube nieuwe CEO Nobel Biocare

Nobel Biocare heeft vandaag bekend gemaakt dat Richard Laube per 1 mei aanstaande is aangesteld als CEO van Nobel Biocare. Hieronder treft u het originele bericht aan.

Richard Laube has been appointed as the new CEO by the Board of Directors of Nobel Biocare. He will join the company on 1 April 2011 and assume his duties as CEO on 1 May.

Domenico Scala informed the Board of Directors of his decision to leave the company with effect from 30 April 2011. During the month of April, he will introduce his successor into the various topics. In addition, he will be available to the company in an advisory capacity until the end of October 2011. The Board of Directors would like to thank Domenico Scala for his outstanding commitment to Nobel Biocare. Domenico Scala took over the company at a highly critical time, and during the last three and a half years he has created a new footing, established a first-rate management team and successfully expanded the product portfolio.

Richard Laube brings with him considerable international experience in different industries in which innovation was the key to success. Among other things, he converted the OTC business of F. Hoffmann La Roche into a successful, independent unit, and most recently, as CEO of Nestlé’s Nutrition division, more than doubled the business through acquisitions and organic growth. The Board of Directors believes that his previous experience puts him in an ideal position to build on what has been achieved and continue to develop the enormous potential of Nobel Biocare in order to generate sustainable growth in sales and value.

Heino von Prondzynski, Chairman of the Board of Directors, says: “I would like to thank Domenico Scala for his loyal and passionate commitment. During a difficult period, he was successful in completely overhauling the company and thereby established a very solid foundation. This will enable Nobel Biocare to begin the next phase of growth and innovation. The entire Board of Directors would like to wish him all the best in his professional and private life. In Richard Laube, we have a successor who comes with the right qualifications to continue developing the company, especially regarding innovation and global strategy implementation.
